“Only What You Need” Denver Water Campaign
August 12th, 2008
If you don’t have the pleasure of living in Denver, you’ve probably missed the Denver Water campaign. I hate to admit that the first time I took notice of it, I wasn’t cruising the streets… but perusing the pages of a design annual (I’m guessing HOW/Print or Communication Arts). I always love when Denver or Boulder makes it on the design map, but Sukle has knocked this one out of the park!
Since first seeing this campaign in the mag, I’ve definitely noticed it around. I’m amazed by how many angles they’re hitting this issue; you really can’t miss it if you live here. From print ads, street installations (billboards, barrels, and park benches), supermarket work, and the television spots featuring drunk flowers, or streaking toilets. Unfortunately I haven’t come across their nekked-guy-in-sandwich-board work yet, but maybe soon!
The creative minds behind this, Denver based Sukle, have quite the body of work. From Noodles & Company to their ‘Meth Kills Wyoming” campaign, I’m really impressed… some top notch brilliant work! I really love public service announcements that really make you stop and think — these guys nailed it.
SO, if you are some of the poor bastards that don’t live in Denver… head over to Sukle and take a look at their work. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
…On a side note, those Wyoming Meth videos may be giving me nightmares tonight; they look as though they’re strait out of Saw or something! No meth for me, thank you.
