Early this year, I decided to paint Japanese plum blossom silhouettes in the bathroom; to fill the walls a bit since it's a HUGE bathroom, and add a bit of s calming feeling. In Japan, the Plum Blossom (Ume) is a symbol of Spring... new life at the end of winter. On top of being a strong little flower, it's also seen as a protective charm against evil.
